The EU is a strong driver of the transition to a more circular economy. The European Green Deal aims to make Europe the first climate neutral continent in the world. The Fit for 55 package, presented in July 2021, aims to bring the EU’s climate and energy legislation in line with the 2030 goal. How does Norway’s policy fit into this picture, and what are the implications of the EU action plan for Norwegian policy, for Norway’s positions in its cooperation with the EU, and efforts to enhance Norway’s green competitiveness.
